Black Stone @ Lee’s Palace – April 25, 2014

Black Stone at Lee’s Palace on Friday, April 25, 2014.

Lee’s Palace is probably one of the most well known concert spots in Toronto, with a capacity of several hundred people. The stage is also pretty high – I’d say at least a good five feet – so, you shouldn’t have much trouble getting a swell view of the bands. I’ve seen a couple of concerts here, but this was my first visit as a photographer. I didn’t bother trying to get a photo pass, I just paid the seven bucks (listed online and in the paper as six – what gives??) and pulled out my camera when the show started.

BLACK STONE (Cochrane/Moose Factory, Ontario) Rock

This was my second time seeing Black Stone in concert. The first time was on October 29, 2013 at the Horseshoe Tavern. I was so impressed with their sound that night that I bought their CD on the spot – there isn’t one bad song on it. This is a solid, straightforward rock band that kicks serious ass. I was also pretty stoked when I heard they’re from Northern Ontario. Check them out on the Black Stone website.

NOTES:
-Parts of the stage were pretty dim. Some of the shots weren’t properly exposed. That meant I had to do an extra bit of work during the editing process, but I still think I got some decent results.
