NOTES:
-When I bought my zoom lens from Henry’s last month, they gave me a card entitling me to a free 24-hour lens rental. It was going to expire in a few days, so I decided to put it to good use. I rented a 70-200mm lens, which really allowed me to get some good close-ups at this concert. It’s a bit on the heavy side, but it’s totally sweet! Too bad I don’t have a couple grand lying around to get one for myself.
-I showed up early and got a spot right in front of the barricade in front of the stage. That’s where I stayed for the next two hours.
-I didn’t dare try to change lenses, the place was too tightly packed with people and I didn’t want to risk damaging the rental. So, unfortunately, I didn’t get much in the way of wide shots. Now I see why it would be handy to carry around two camera bodies – no need to waste time and fidget with lens changes.
